Bobbie Hough

Managing Director

Bobbie is an expert in strategic planning and crisis communications and has worked with some of the UK’s most recognised brands overseeing successful mergers, high profile media campaigns and managing crisis scenarios.

He works with companies to help align communications and business strategy, transforming high level plans into measurable results.

He is a champion of workplace reform and supports the charity Versus Arthritis to campaign on key issues.

Nicola Douglas

Account Director

Nicola has more than a decade of experience of delivering high impact PR work in the housing, local government and charity sectors.

She has managed major media partnerships and helped set up the press office of a new national charity.
She has an MSc in PR and is experienced in media relations, campaign management, crisis communications, project management, social media and events.

Nicola loves working with organisations with a social purpose to help tell their stories.
Her perfect Sunday is a long walk in the Pentland Hills with her family followed by a roast dinner.


Ben Powell

Account Director

Ben has over 10 years of experience in delivering high-impact communications, media relations, campaigns and public affairs.

He has spent the early part of his career in local and national politics, working in Westminster as a political advisor and serving for six-years as a local councillor.

Ben is passionate about his work for organisations that serve communities and currently serves as a Non-executive Director for a housing association.

Fun fact about Ben is that he has performed stand-up comedy in venues around the country.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, travelling and playing the guitar.


Pam McCann

Senior Consultant (Associate)

Pam has worked as a Director of Marketing and Communications for many public sector organisations including housing, healthcare, education, local government  and economic development.

She has also served as a non-executive director on 6 public sector boards and has a keen grasp of strategy development and creating impactful campaigns which deliver a positive difference.

In her spare time she can be found climbing the hills of the Lake District or perfecting some new and challenging yoga or Pilates poses.

Sue Fox

Senior Consultant (Associate)

With over 30 years’ experience in PR and communications, Sue has worked as Director of Communications in regulation, consumer complaints and housing. She has expertise in department development, strategy and planning, and has worked in public, private and not-for-profit sectors. A Chartered PR Practitioner and qualified coach, Sue also runs a vintage stall in her spare time.

Will Sherry

Account Executive

Before joining Hough Bellis, Will held a senior position in the publishing sector working as an account manager and overseeing a wide range of PR and marketing projects. With a deep understanding of the importance of relationship building, Will has extensive experience creating and implementing effective digital marketing and communications strategies and writing engaging content across diverse platforms.

Will is enthusiastic to be continuing his career working on projects that support communities and give organisations the help they need to improve people’s lives.

In his spare time, Will loves cooking, running and playing guitar, and is currently learning German.


Els O’Keeffe

Junior Account Manager

Els is an experienced communications professional working in commercial and financial services PR in London. With a passion for building strong partnerships and developing innovative strategies, Els is committed to helping clients achieve their goals through effective messaging and compelling storytelling.

Outside of work, Els enjoys exploring a variety of creative pursuits, including learning to play acoustic guitar, taking her dog on long walks with her husband and children, and expressing her artistic side as a cake artist.


Louise Bennett

Content specialist

Louise knows how to get your message across with the right words for the right audience.

She brings her experience as a BBC News & Current Affairs Producer, a senior regulator, a magazine editor, content provider for websites & social media platforms and report writer, to assist us here at Hough Bellis.

Louise has an eye for detail, an enquiring mind and a flair for ensuring your voice is clear and confident.


Oscar Oldbury-Swift

Intern

The newest member of our team, Oscar, works part-time whilst finishing off his undergraduate degree at the University of Chester. Studying International Business Management, he has previously worked in various industries across supply chain and procurement, and has worked on projects for NGOs in the environmental sector.

Outside of university, Oscar enjoys travelling and water sports, having competed at an international level in swimming when he was younger.


Kate Gannon

Administrator

Kate has worked in PR for twenty years at some of the UK’s most respected agencies and managed campaigns for the likes of McDonald’s, O2, B & Q, Nokia, Foster’s and Sprite.

She provides Hough Bellis with executive administrative support including award submissions, internal and external communications, events and supporting new business activities.

Russell Finneran

Graphic/Web Designer

Russell has over 30 years’ experience as a designer. He started his career in advertising producing work for a wide variety of industries, including newspapers, travel, housing, charities and hospitality to name just a few. Russell is experienced in creating brand and corporate identity, design for digital and print, illustration, animation and website creation.

He is also the owner of Stonehouse Creative Services, but when time allows, he enjoys renovating his 300 year old cottage. He is now a dab hand at garden landscaping and dry stone walling.

Ben Horrigan

Video Producer

Ben has been producing digital content since 2012, primarily for flagship BBC brands like Blue Peter and BBC News. Now he runs Studio 91 Media, a video production agency on a mission: to create content that is good for the internet, good for people and good for the world.

He knows video production and social platforms inside out, and loves finding creative ways to tell his client’s stories in creative ways. When he’s not behind a camera, Ben can often be found playing cello at weddings or riding a three-wheeled cargo bike called Babs.


Catherine Bellis

Founder

Catherine has worked extensively with local authorities and housing organisations across England and Wales for the past 20 years, delivering internal and external projects to a wide range of audiences from council leaders and chief executives to the general public.

She has delivered more than 50 housing transfer and ALMO consultations across the UK.
